The programme makes it possible for Lwówek County inhabitants to have preliminary diagnostics of circulatory system diseases performed and in case of indications to obtain specialist diagnostics as well.

Medical examinations are carried out at Przychodnia Powiatowego Centrum Zdrowia Sp. z o. o. (County Health Care Center Outpatient Clinic  Ltd.), situated at ul. Morcinka 7 in Lwówek Śląski and in places of residence of persons who want to take part in the programme. The fat accumulated in your abdomen is much more dangerous than in other places. You can check your abdominal obesity by carrying out measurement of waist-heap ratio (WHR), i.e. relation of waist girth to heap girth. The WHR ≥ 0,8 indicates abdominal obesity in women, and WHR ≥ 1,0 indicates the obesity in men.

Prophylaxis of circulatory system disease in children and youth

Do you know that:

One of the reasons of circulatory system diseases in children is obesity, which, as it has been proved, results in poorer results at school.

The programme assumes that children and youth from Lwówek County will be provided with diagnostic tests that will be carry out at schools after obtaining consent from kids’ parents. If the tests results reveal, that further diagnostic actions have to be conducted, the kid will be also referred in them within the scope of the programme.
